German process technology company ystral has opened a new facility in Bangalore, increasing its presence in India and Southeast Asia. The expansion adds technical and service capacity and raises the share of components sourced locally. ystral, which supplies high-performance mixing, dispersing, and powder-wetting machines and turnkey process systems to industries including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, coatings, food, home and personal care, and battery production, has operated in India via a wholly owned subsidiary since 2013. The Bangalore site expands the Indian team from nine to fifteen specialists across process engineering, electrical engineering, software development, sales, and service. The premises include infrastructure and tools aligned with standards at ystral’s German headquarters, according to Srirangarajan Santhanam, Director of ystral India. As part of its growth strategy, ystral plans to increase localization of components manufactured in India while continuing production of key high-precision parts in Germany. The company expects local sourcing to reduce lead times, enable invoicing in Indian rupees, and accelerate project execution, said Dominik Seeger, Senior Vice President Sales. India is currently ystral’s fastest-growing market globally. The Bangalore facility is expected to serve as a regional service hub for nearby Asian markets and complement operations in China and Singapore. It will also contribute software development services to ystral’s global headquarters in Germany.
