British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s upcoming visit to India on October 8–9, 2025, is set to strengthen bilateral collaboration in artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and other emerging technologies. The British Indian Minister for AI and Online Safety, Kanishka Narayan, highlighted that the two countries share a strong foundation in innovation and democratic values, making them natural partners in shaping the responsible use of technology. During the visit, both leaders will participate in the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai and hold discussions aimed at deepening cooperation through frameworks like the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Technology Security Initiative (TSI). With trade between the two nations already exceeding £44 billion annually, the visit is expected to further boost investment, technology exchange, and joint ventures—positioning the UK and India as global partners in ethical and secure AI development.
