INOXGFL Group has emerged as the leading bidder to acquire Vena Energy’s India renewable energy business in a deal valued at nearly $600 million, signalling one of the most significant consolidation moves in India’s rapidly expanding clean-energy sector. The proposed transaction would strengthen INOXGFL’s position as a major renewable energy platform across wind, solar, hybrid energy, and infrastructure services. Vena Energy India operates a renewable energy portfolio of around 1.1 GW spread across multiple Indian states including Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh. The assets are currently owned by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), which became part of BlackRock through a major global infrastructure acquisition. According to industry reports, the enterprise valuation for the transaction is estimated between ₹4,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore. INOXGFL reportedly moved ahead of competing bidders including Jindal Renewables and Sekura Energy in the acquisition race. The acquisition aligns with INOXGFL’s aggressive renewable energy expansion strategy. Over the past year, the group has pursued multiple strategic transactions including the acquisition of Wind World India’s 600 MW IPP portfolio and its 4.5 GW wind O&M business, alongside a major deal for Vibrant Energy’s renewable assets. Industry experts believe the Vena Energy India acquisition would significantly strengthen INOXGFL’s integrated clean-energy platform spanning renewable project development, operations and maintenance, solar manufacturing, and utility-scale energy infrastructure. The deal also reflects rising consolidation activity in India’s renewable sector as companies race to build scale ahead of the country’s 500 GW non-fossil fuel target by 2030. India has increasingly become one of the world’s most attractive renewable-energy investment destinations, drawing global infrastructure funds, sovereign wealth investors, pension funds, and climate-focused institutional capital into large-scale solar, wind, and storage projects. Online renewable-energy and investor communities have also been closely tracking INOXGFL’s rapid expansion strategy, particularly its ambitions around renewable asset scaling, integrated clean-energy manufacturing, and future capital market activity. If completed, the Vena Energy India acquisition would further position INOXGFL as one of India’s fastest-growing renewable-energy conglomerates and strengthen its long-term role in the country’s clean-energy transition and global green manufacturing ambitions.
