Together, these agreements span developed and emerging markets in Europe, the Gulf, Oceania and beyond creating expanded market access for Indian exports, encouraging foreign direct investment, and reinforcing India’s role in global supply chains. Analysts argue that this trade push also reflects a broader diplomatic strategy to fortify economic ties and reduce reliance on any single region in the face of shifting geopolitical trade dynamics. Moreover, broader trade engagement with markets such as the Gulf Cooperation Council and ongoing negotiations with countries across Latin America and North America are part of India’s long-term vision to integrate more deeply into global trade networks. This landscape opens up new avenues for European and Indian startups to collaborate on products, scale into new markets, access talent and capital, and participate in integrated Europe-India value chains.
